Principles

Opportunity

Part of God’s character is to transform communities, Isaiah 61:1-3 The Spirit of Adonai ELOHIM is upon me, because ADONAI has anointed me to announce good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted; to proclaim freedom to the captives, to let out into light those bound in the dark; to proclaim the year of the favor of ADONAI and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, yes, provide for those in Tziyon who mourn, giving them garlands instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, a cloak of praise instead of a heavy spirit, so that they will be called oaks of righteousnessplanted by ADONAI, in which he takes pride.

But for God to transform the community, we must invite God into a community, by praying unto God for the community, petitioning God on behalf of the community. Everbody desire God’s presence, but the desire must manifest in prayer, we cannot just desire without acting on the desire. We must ask God to give us a capacity to draw unto Him, knowing that apart from Jesus we can do nothing.

What can we do to invite God into our community.

It start with the knowledge that God is drawn to holiness and humility. Being proud, opinionated and arrogance are things that stand against the will of God and thus appose community transformation. If we want to see a community transformed we need to start with ourselves. “To be agents of change we must first be changed agents”. Remember that God keeps the proud amiss but the humble He brings unto Himself. Isa 66:2 Didn’t I myself make all these things? This is how they all came to be, ” says ADONAI. ” The kind of person on whom I look with favor is one with a poor and humble spirit, who trembles at my word

The biggest thing that stand against unity is our own pride, and that we get offended easy. Humility in the precence of God, with a sincere heart and the knowledge that without God we can do nothing, is the bases for community transformation.

Corporate revival begins with individual obedience.

A community consist out of individuals, therefore the most important part of a community is the individual, the most important thing for the individual is to begin praying inorder to see a community praying. For this reason we must remember that man is impressed by activity, God is impressed by obedience. In Ezekiel

Building a hedge around a community is abiding in God’s presence as we seek God heart for a community. As an individual we are part of a community, and is our duty to get involved with a corporate call unto God for the community.

Whether opposition leads to revival or stop a revival depend on your response. Do not focus on opposition, rather a commitment by yourselves and join others with the same commitment.

Without exception, community transformation started with a few individuals who would not give up, who pressed on kept on praying. The question is, who or what is the captain of your heart.

Biblical unity is a majority with God

God does not need a majority, and he never used a majority, God need commitment in faith, trusting in Him and in His ability. Don’t focus on unity within a community, for transformation is not the result of unity, unity is the product of transformation. When God decide to come into a community, the community is united in His precnece.

If we all within the community acknowledge the Kingdom of God, then we all submit to His Kingdom and His rule. As it is writen in Mat 18:19-20 To repeat, I tell you that if two of you here on earth agree about anything people ask, it will be for them from my Father in heaven. For wherever two or three are assembled in my name, I am there with them

Unity is not based upon the number of people within a room, unity is something that God brings about when His people call unto Him.

Breakthrough prayer release destiny

James 5: 16-17 Therefore, openly acknowledge your sins to one another, and pray for each other, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. Eliyahu was only a human being like us; yet he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and no rain fell on the Land for three years and six months

Effectual fervent prayer is a cry of desperation. All the above principles is without worth if it is not founded upon fervent, penetrating and perseverance prayer. Elijah watch and waited.

Prayer is the foundation of our faith, no one can graduate from prayer. We must seek the face of God in fellowship with Him and His Son Yeshua the Messiah. Prayer is a relationship, that grow in intamecy and understanding as we abide in the presence of God.

We must seek God plan for the community first, so that we can call into existence the planned destiny for the community. Do not bind the evil call in the light. Prayer literally change things, it however depend upon the people’s desire to see God moves, sometime we aboard God’s creation because of our own impatience. Like the Israelites who refused to wait for Moses return.

God’s work will always be unique

God’s work is not within human control, God come into a community to get His glory, for Jesus paid the prize, He therefore deserve to get the glory due unto Him. God’s program my caught us by surprise, He is unexpected and do not react on our call but in accordance to His plan and purpose. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit is like the wind you cannot see Him come, or know where He blow.

God configure His strategy based upon His level of knowledge and not what we think we know. We err in our ways as we decide upon a strategy and then we want God to bring it in fulfilment. God will not allow His arrival to be stage manage, He is the creator of Heavn and Earth.

God use servant leaders

Servant leader serve the community and do not expect to be served by the community. They are willing to persevere, and will not give up when the going gets tuff.

We are not in the ministry to become a quick star, but to run the race that God set before us.One who counts the cost, stay on course and directs all to the Kingdom of God – John the baptise.

God can do incredible things through our lives if we do not care who gets the credit. We must acknowledge that is not about names and titles, it is about acknowledging the gifts of God. As servant leaders we are not stakeholders; we are shareholders – partners in God’s Kingdom.

Consider the excample that Jesus set before us, the measure of leadership is not whether the leader has influence within the public eye but whether he has influence with God.
